The Ben Luc-Long Thanh Expressway handled nearly 25,000 vehicles during its first full day of operation, covering October 1 to 2, 2026, according to figures confirmed by the operator.
Key figures
- Vehicles: nearly 25,000 in the first 24 hours.
- Toll revenue: over VND1.8 billion, roughly US$69,232.
- Traffic: about 30 percent higher than before the route was fully connected.
- Revenue: a 140 percent rise in toll revenue.
The figures were confirmed by Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, deputy director of Vietnam Expressway Services Engineering Joint Stock Company (VECE).
About the route
The expressway is nearly 58 kilometres long. It links the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong Expressway and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 with Dong Nai City and National Highway 51. The route includes the Binh Khanh and Phuoc Khanh bridges.
The speed limit is mainly 90 km/h along the main line. On the Binh Khanh and Phuoc Khanh bridge sections, the maximum is 80 km/h.
What it means for residents
The source does not describe changes for any particular neighbourhood, so the practical points are general. Drivers using the expressway should follow the posted limits, particularly on the two bridges where the cap is lower. Because this was only the first full day, the early traffic and revenue numbers are a snapshot, not a pattern, and conditions may change as more drivers start using the route.
