King's College Wimbledon HCMC Tops Out Campus, Eyes August 2027 Opening

King's College Wimbledon Ho Chi Minh City (King's HCMC) has finished the main structure of its new campus in eastern Ho Chi Minh City, holding a topping-out ceremony on October 25, according to VnExpress International. Construction is due to finish in the second quarter of 2027, and the school plans to open in August 2027.

Where it is and what is planned

The campus sits in The Global City, a 117.4-hectare development by Masterise Homes based on a Foster + Partners master plan. The school describes the site as roughly 5 to 10 minutes from Thao Dien and 10 minutes from Thu Thiem, depending on traffic, and its gallery is at 179 Vo Nguyen Giap Street in An Khanh Ward. The 1.8-hectare site will offer about 37,000 square meters of usable space for around 1,500 students.

Plans include:

• A three-story early years and infant building with an indoor learning pool
• A five-story junior and senior building with science, design and engineering labs
• A Great Hall and a "Wimbledon Hub" with a 500-seat theater, a 25-meter indoor pool and a multipurpose sports hall

The school is developed with King's College School, Wimbledon, a British independent school, and Kieran McLaughlin is the founding head.

What it means for residents

For families in Thao Dien and An Phu weighing international schools, this adds another option on the eastern side of the city for 2027. The article does not mention tuition or fees, so parents will need to ask the school directly.
